The 10% of our brain that is conscious, is actually the relatively new part of the brain. The unconscious part has developed over 100,000’s of years to keep us alive, not make us happy. In order to create lasting change, you must convince the unconscious part of your mind that there is no danger, and nothing to fear. As it is this unconscious part of your brain which drives you. The conscious 10% cannot do very much for very long. So what you truly desire needs to be programmed into your unconscious mind through repetition. The unconscious part of your brain will then go to work in trying to achieve this for you.

The unconscious mind can sometimes try to sabotage you by introducing messages as thoughts, which contradict the will of your conscious mind.
